Whether beverages, bulk goods or bagged cargo: with our angular edge protectors Disposable load securing (LS) your goods will be protected securely. It enables optimal load securing and comprehensive product protection – and that even with a reduced number of tension belts. Measurement of the K-value (correction value) also confirms this. It specifies how far the lashing belts are tensioned equally on both sides. Ideal is a value K of 2. Our angular edge protectors Type LS achieve excellent 1.85 and therefore performed clearly better than comparable plastic edge protectors.
For load securing with this angular edge protector, experts released the following specifications:
Beverage industry
- Side lengths: 100 x 100 mm
- Wall thickness: 9 mm
- Length: after application 800/1,600/2,400 mm
- Strength: at least 5,000 N (three-point bending strength test according to DIN EN 13393)
- TÜV Certificate: LS-0909755 (for beverage crates)
LS-0710898 (for barrels)

With many vehicles used to transport beverages, the stability for securing the load is inadequate and additional security measures become necessary. With our angular edge protectors type LS we have been successful in clearly improving load securing when transporting beverages: damage to the handles of the beverage crates and police complaints about load securing have decreased.
Your benefits:
- The number of tension belts necessary for a complete truck load of beer crates can be reduced from 32 to 12, depending on the weight of the load.
- Lower material costs
- Considerable time saving during loading and unloading
- This type of load securing only costs about 25 to 30 euros per truck.
Bulk goods
- Side lengths: 100 x 100 mm
- Wall thickness: 9 mm
- Length: after application at least 550 mm
- Strength: at least 5,000 N (three-point bending strength test according to DIN EN 13393)
- GTÜ Certificate: LS-25007-12642-02
Bagged cargo
- Side lengths: 120 x 80 mm or 170 x 80 mm
- Wall thickness: 9 mm
- Length: 400 und 800 mm
- Strength: at least 5000 N (three-point bending force test according to DIN EN 13393)
- GTÜ Certificate: LS-20003-12642-02

To secure your bagged cargo on palettes we have developed a securing system on the basis of our angular edge protectors LS. It has twice the strength of conventional edge protector products. This allows you to apply higher pre-tension forces when fixing lashing straps on the loading unit.
Thanks to the angular edge protectors, these forces distribute themselves over a larger area and the higher pressure from above caters for a rise of the friction force between cargo and vehicle floor. The result: the pre-tension forces remain stable for a longer period of time and your load is better secured during transportation.
Your benefits:
- Twice the strength of standard edge protection
- Force distribution over a larger area
- Secure stand for your cargo
Front and rear load lashing
- Side lengths: 150 x 150 mm
- Wall thickness: 9 mm
- Length: 1,700 und 2,350 mm
- Slits: 3 à 40 x 100 mm on each side length
- Strength: at least 6,000 N (three-point bending strength test according to DIN EN 13393)
- GTÜ Certificate: 2013-AD-hs-1608
- GTÜ Certificate: 2013-AD-hs-1508 (value K: 1.8)

The difficulties the logistics experts from many branches of industry face repeatedly: lashing the truck load on the front and rear so that it does not slip and that the expenses for securing can be kept within a limit.
We at Paul & Co have developed, together with you, an efficient alternative to front and rear load lashing on the basis of our high-performance angular edge protector products Type LS. For this purpose we rely on angular edge protectors with a three-point bending strength of at least 6,000 N.
Alternatively, our angular edge protectors Type LS can also be used for front lashing of palletised transported goods with a packing height of up to 2.40 m. In the practical test, the system secured a load of approximately 13 t.
Your benefits:
- Optimal utilisation of cargo space
- Saving of time
- Cost effective securing
